Job Description

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Under the direct supervision of the Park & Recreation Coordinator, this is a part time/seasonal position of a highly responsible nature requiring customer service, flexibility and communication.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Monitor vehicles coming in and out of Town Beach.  Make sure they have a proper beach pass that is visible from their rearview mirror for residents and dashboard for non-residents. 

Ability to resolve problems with any customer that may have a problem with a beach pass, parking, or other concerns from the ordinance.  

Complete and submit daily town beach paperwork to include number of guests, concerns, problems, etc. 

Clean any debris that is left on the ground that could be a hazard including garbage, sticks, rocks, etc. 

Rake beach area free of debris etc. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Good working knowledge of updated beach ordinance and customer service. 

Ability to use online registration back end to search for residents and non-residents pass options.  

Ability to follow oral and written communications.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods of time, talk and hear.  The employee frequently is required to stand; walk, and use hands and fingers.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven ability to work effectively and courteously with officials, employees and the general public.

Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, some nights, weekends and holidays.
