The Public Works Department consists of:
- Highway Department
- Buildings & Grounds
- Vehicle Maintenance
- Recycling
- Engineering
- Tree Warden
Permits issued by the Department include:
- Driveway permits
- Permits to dig in the Town Right Of Way
- Permits to connect to the underground storm drainage system/sewer system
- Refuse collection registrations
- Road construction permits
Recycling Center (operated by Public Works):
- 72 Little Pitch Road (Approximately one mile south of the Litchfield Green on Rt. 63)
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday
- 7:00am - 3:00pm Gate CLOSE at 2:45 pm.
- Windshield Sticker is Required (Available to residents free of charge at the Recycling Center shed)
