The Secretary of the State’s office is in the process of mailing out Absentee Ballot applications to 100% of registered voters.  You should be receiving one soon.  If you have already submitted an application with this office please disregard the one received in this mailing.  If you do not receive one within the next week or so and would like one, please email us and we will get one to you.  Please be aware that voting this was way is only an OPTION. For those who wish to cast their vote in person, THE POLLS WILL BE OPEN between the hours of 6AM and 8PM on Election Day, November 3, 2020, and CDC guidelines for Covid-19 safety will be followed.  We respectfully ask that anyone choosing to vote by absentee ballot return their application to this office as soon as possible as we are expecting a larger volume than usual.  Applications can be mailed using the return envelope that will be included in your mailing or, permission has been granted by the SOTS office for the Locked Ballot Drop Box at the rear of the Town Hall Building to be opened and available for dropping off applications as well.  We will be checking that box frequently. Absentee Ballots will become available after Oct. 2, 2020 and we will begin mailing them out at that time.  Please don’t hesitate to email us at townclerk@townoflitchfield.org  if you have any questions and we will respond to you as quickly as possible or call us at 860-567-7561.  Thank you again for your attention.  Stay safe and stay well.

Best Regards,
Lisa A. Losee, Town Clerk
