The CTDOT has informed the Town of Litchfield of the starting of milling and overlaying (asphalting) of Rte 254 (aka Northfield Road) between the Town line with Thomaston and Rte 118 the week of August 9th. The process of milling and overlaying, if weather permits, will last approximately until Labor Day, unless conditions will delay the project. Please drive with caution and reduce speed as necessary, as there will be areas where the milling might create uneven portions as well as delays.
