Correction Notice: Route 202 Closure Dates Remain Unchanged
Please note that a typographical error in the State of Connecticut’s recent notification to the Town of Litchfield incorrectly indicated a date change for the upcoming road closure and construction on Route 202.
The original dates have not changed — construction will proceed as planned beginning June 16th.

Route 202 over Still Brook, Town of Litchfield:
Notice of Route 202 Roadway Closure from June 16, 2025 to August 31, 2025
Dayton Construction Company, Inc. (D.C.C.I.) herein
notifies the Towns of Litchfield, Washington, and Morris that
a detour will be in place on Route 202 in Litchfield from June
16th to August 31st for the bridge replacement project on
Route 202 located just east of Merritt Clarke’s in Litchfield, CT.
There will be increased site activity and alternating one-way
traffic patterns in place, as required, starting the week of May
5th up to the roadway closure. D.C.C.I. and its subcontractors
will be performing as much work as possible prior to
implementing the detour.
