Secretary of the State's Office sends out Absentee Ballot Applications

Due to COVID-19, the Secretary of the State’s Office has mailed Absentee Ballot Applications to all registered Republicans and Democrats eligible to vote in the Primaries being held on August 11, 2020.  Pursuant to Executive Order 7QQ, COVID-19 has been added as a valid reason for requesting an Absentee Ballot. If you believe you have received an application in error please call the Registrar of Voters at 860-567-7558.  If you choose to vote at the Polls please discard this application.  All Polling places will be open regular voting hours on Primary day. Electors may vote at their assigned polling places. Included with these applications is a postage paid return envelope to the Town Clerk, Town of Litchfield.  Absentee Ballots become available on July 21, 2020. Voters will have the option of mailing the ballots to this office or placing them into a lock box available at the Town Hall. Completed ballots must be returned to us by the close of the polls in order to be counted.  Please call the Town Clerk’s office at 860-567-7561 with any questions.  Thank you and be well.
