NOTICE OF THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING
TOWN OF LITCHFIELD
TO BE HELD BY APPROVAL OF THE BOARDS OF SELECTMEN AND FINANCE
WITH PRIOR PUBLIC COMMENT
(Pursuant to EO 7S, 7CC, 7JJ, and 9L)
Notice is hereby given to the electors of the Town of Litchfield and those qualified taxpayers lawfully entitled to vote in Litchfield Town Meetings pursuant to Section 7-6 of the Connecticut General Statutes that the Annual Town Meeting will be commenced on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at 7:00 P.M., at a special Board of Selectmen’s meeting held via live internet video stream and telephone for the following purposes. Zoom access at townoflitchfield.org website.
Public comment will be accepted by email and U.S. mail, received by February 19, 2021 latest. Send email to publiccomment@townoflitchfield.org and U.S. mail to Litchfield Board of Selectmen, P.O. Box 488, Litchfield, CT 06759.
Such actions are necessary to permit the orderly operation of the municipality and there is a need to act immediately during the public health and civil preparedness emergency in order to avoid endangering public health and welfare, prevent significant financial loss, or the action is otherwise necessary for the protection of persons and property within the municipality.
The following items will be considered:
I. To adopt the resolution and authorize the First Selectman to sign the Commercial
Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) Agreement
II. To approve the 2019/20 Annual Financial Report
III. To appropriate a sum of $110,000.00 to Account 01-4201-43151( LVA COVID-19 Loan), the source of funds for such appropriation to be by way of transfer from Account 01-8101-56102 (Medical), as recommended by the Board of Finance in Budget Transfer #1
IV. To appropriate a sum of $67,670.38 to Account 56-9501-47001 (Capital Non-Recurring), the source of funds for such appropriation to be by way of transfer from various closed capital projects, as recommended by the Board of Finance in Budget Transfer #2
V. To update Code of Ordinances for Fire Marshal fee schedule
VI. To update Code of Ordinances for Building Department fees
