The focus of the Social Services Department is to coordinate existing federal, state, regional and local services to increase community awareness of these services and to develop new programs to meet the needs of Litchfield residents.

Services offered directly through this office include: Information and Referral, Energy Assistance, Elderly and Disabled Renters’ Tax Relief, Senior Transportation, and Litchfield Hills Chore Service.

A small food pantry is available to assist residents to meet their emergency needs.
