Planning and Zoning Commission
The Planning and Zoning Commission is the custodian of the Zoning Regulations, Subdivision Regulations, and is designated the Aquifer Protection Agency pursuant to Connecticut General Statute §22a-354o.
Interpretation of zoning ordinances, technical information and regulatory direction are provided to assist residents and developers in developing land or in re-using existing land or structures by the Land Use Office. Site plan and special exception applications are referred for approval to the Planning and Zoning Commission. All special exception applications require a public hearing. A site plan application may be subject to a public hearing.
